Hot : Saif all set for a zom-com

Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are all set to make a zombie comedy. The duo had a success with their last, critically acclaimed Shor in the City.

This zombie comedy will be the first out-of-the-box, unique concept for the Indian audience. The latest buzz we hear is that Saif Ali Khan will be playing the central character, probably the zombie. However, the zombie character has been kept under wraps.

According to a trusted source, “The film is produced by Saif Ali Khan’s Illuminati Films and is tentatively called Go Goa Gone. It is a horror comedy, a mix of two unlikely genres. Incidentally, Saif has been quoted saying that he wanted to make a horror film for some time now. Something like this has never been done in India.”

He further added “Preparation on the film started a few months ago, and shooting is about to start. Saif loved the idea in the first few minutes of hearing the concept and wanted to do it immediately. Saif will play a central role in the film while his sister’s boyfriend Kunal Khemmu will play an integral part.”

When contacted, Raj and DK said, “After Shor, people said we should do a romcom. And we thought, why not do a zomcom instead? We have had this story idea for years, but we think now is a great time to do this film. And the best person to do this with is Saif. Also, GGG is a complete change from Shor. A complete horror comedy with a lot of action thrills and chills.”

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have finally put all the speculation about their break-up at rest by declaring their marriage. The couple is keen to tie the knot by next year. Marriage was always in their mind but they did not go for it due to their respective careers but not the duo has seen that marriage will not hamper their career and hence they are eager to walk down the aisle.

"Saif is absolutely comfortable with Kareena's family. Kareena has also finally found a comfort level with Saif's children. This was the biggest stumbling block in the marriage," says a source.

Says Kareena's close friend, "Saif has been keen to marry Bebo for ages now. He wanted to make it official soon after he met and fell in love with her. But the couple agreed that such an early marriage would affect her career negatively. But Kareena is now at a stage where her marital status would make no difference to her career."

There has been no rift between Saif and Bebo and the wrong rumor has hurt both of them. Says Kareena's close friend, "Bebo told us that there can never be any issues between them because they are devoted to building a life together. Whether people like it or not, Bebo and Saif are in this relationship for keeps."

Saif has his hands full with projects

The reason being heard is that Saif has his hands full with projects. Currently he is busy with his home production ’Agent Vinod’. His forthcoming films include films by Vishal Bhardwaj and Kunal Kohli.

Abhishek Bachchan is being considered for the role, says our Bollywood source. The film is in the scripting stage and the filmmakers are planning to make film that excels the original in style and glamour.

Shiv Sena has now targeted the Nawab Saif Ali Khan

After targeting Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan for his remarks on Pakistani cricketers, Shiv Sena has now targeted the Nawab. It is Saif who is at the receiving end of Shiv Sena’s brickbats.

Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray called the actor a tapori (vagabond) who did not deserve the Padma Sri award. The protest came after government announced the Padma Shri for Saif and Saif commented that, ’The honour should’ve been given to someone more senior’

Recently, members of the Bishnoi community also protested against Saif. They demanded withdrawal of the Padma Shri to him and burnt Khan’s effigy in Jodhpur. The community cited the pending court case against him under the Wildlife Protection Act for killing two black bucks while shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s film ’Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in October, 1998.

In 2009, Kareena and Saif starrer ’Kurbaan’ also was in the news, when Shiv Sena protested against the posters of the film showing Kareena’s bare back.

Saif Ali Khans ‘Agent Vinod’ seems to develop cracks in its team

This Saif-Kareena venture surely has its own set of hypes, building enough gossips around it, although the film is yet to roll.

The second production of Saif Ali Khan, ‘Agent Vinod’ seems to develop cracks in its team. The film, which had already suffered with a delay, is said to have further postponed its shooting schedule. This has in turn irked few crew members and they decided to back off from the project.

Earlier Saif had been busy with Love Aaj Kal. Then along with Kareena, he was held up with ‘Kurbaan’, due to which ‘Agent Vinod’ was put on a hold. Later Kareena got hooked on to Karan Johar’s Hindi version of Stepmom. Thus the Saifeena film changed its shooting schedule from December to January. And now it seems the film is further pushed to April.

The crew is worried that if they are to sign on the dotted lines of this film, they wouldn’t be able to take up other projects. And if ‘Agent Vinod’ keeps delaying like this then its members will surely suffer with no work in hand. Citing this problem, some of the unit members have withdrawn themselves from the project. “If we do sign the contract we will be twiddling our thumbs and not earning money. Some of us have moved on since there is no guarantee of when exactly the film will take off. Meanwhile, we are taking up some other projects,” confided a few members who quit the film. Kurbaan has got an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Kurbaan has got an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board. This is because of the violent and sizzling lovemaking scenes in the film.

The violence and the setting of the film, which is terrorism, led to the Censor Board taking this decision. They felt it would be suitable only for an adult audience. Rensil D’Silva, the director of the film, tried talking to the Censor Board authorities and convince them into giving it a ‘U’ or ‘U/A’ certificate but they wouldn’t budge.

Regional Officer of the Censor Board, Vinayak Azad, confirmed the news and said, “After we saw Kurbaan, we felt that it was meant for adult viewing only.”
