Ahem, no, no… baat yeh hai ki it was their film which had given the heat, especially to the fire dept in New Zealand!
Imran Khan -Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘I Hate Luv Stories’ had been shooting a fire sequence in this foreign location. Now, here most of the houses have smoke detectors as the authorities are strict about such things. During the course of the fire shoot, the smoke alarm set off and someone alerted the fire dept.
And when they found out that it was just because of a film’s shooting, the authorities didn’t take it sportily and demanded a hefty amount as a fine. It is said that the director Punit Malhotra and other production members tried to negotiated with them for a couple of hours over it, which in turn brought the shooting to a halt. Heard that the production had to pay up 15,000 dollars, the fine amount there for false alarms!
While Imran has tweeted about the incident, the film’s producer Karan Johar said that he can’t comment on it.
