Vishal Bharadwaj’s next film is called Dream Sequence and he has roped in Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone for the film. Our source close to the director said, “Though Vishal has been busy with the music sessions and mixing of Saat Khoon Maaf, he has already started working on the script of this movie.”

Apparently, Vishal found Dream Sequence to be an apt title for his film. “It is a very engrossing story. Vishal gave Saif and Deepika a brief description of the plot and both of them are looking forward to the movie.

In fact, Deepika is looking forward to working with Vishal. The movie is all about dreams coming true.

There were stories in the media that Priyanka Chopra was likely to play the lead opposite Saif Ali Khan in Dream Sequence but it seems that Deepika, who pipped Priyanka to bag the role, will be playing the lead in the film.

Deepika decided to get rid of her sign of ex love

When Deepika Padukone walked at the recently concluded Jewellery Week, the media was agog at seeing her with a new companion, Siddharth Mallya. But what the lady didn’t try to hide was her beautifully etched ‘RK’ tattoo, reminiscent of her past relationship with Ranbir Kapoor, at the back of her neck.

Now the actress has decided to get rid of her sign of ex love, the tattoo. Deepika is determined to go for the laser treatment to remove the permanent inking, confirms an aide. After her break-up with Ranbir, it was pretty hard for the gal to answer questions related to the tattoo and why she is still carrying it.

During the shoot of Lafangey Parindey, Deeps used concealer to hide it and repeated the same while filming for Ashutosh Gowariker’s periodic drama Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

Indeed, she has left the past behind.

Actress Deepika Padukone who is very much single and quite evidently enjoying that status was spotted dining with Siddharth Mallya, son of liquor baron Vijay Mallya on Friday night.

The duo was seen dining together at Indigo cafe at the Palladium.

It’s no secret that Deepika and Siddharth bonded very well during this year’s IPL season. The duo cheered the Bangalore team and were often clicked partying together at the after match bashes.

The two have so far maintained a ‘just friends’ stance, but when this friendship spirals into love, one never knows.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor had gone to see Housefull

One of the most talked about estranged couple in Bollywood seems to be on the road to reconciliation. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were spotted together on Friday night with a few of their close friends. The former lovers had gone to see a night show of Deepika’s latest release Housefull in a Juhu theatre.

Once they entered the auditorium, Ranbir and Deepika sat next to each other. Onlookers say that the two looked quite comfortable together and were seen chatting merrily throughout the film. “Everybody present in the theatre was visibly surprised when Deepika and Ranbir walked into the multiplex at 10.30 pm. They saw the 10.45 pm show of Housefull. The audience was quite distracted on seeing them together but it was fun,” says a source. A source from the multiplex confirmed the story.

After they parted ways sometime in October last year, Deepika and Ranbir have been in touch off and on, but they haven’t met publicly since then. It may be recalled that the estranged couple got talking again late last year at a party hosted by jewellery designer Maheep Kapoor and fashion designer Nandita Mahtani.

“The two have never made a public appearance together after their break up. So, this one came as a shocker,” adds the source.

On December 4, last year, Ranbir had told Mumbai Mirror that he hoped he and Deepika would get back together. We wonder if his wish will soon come true. “It is difficult to say if Deepika and Ranbir are developing romantic feelings for each other once again. Only time will tell,” says the source.

Whatever is the current status of their relationship, Deepika might just be keeping her fingers crossed so that she doesn’t have to go through the trouble of getting the RK tattoo erased from her nape. Deepika and Ranbir were unavailable for comment.

Salman and Deepika together Telugu film KICK Remade

For last few weeks, a rumour has been making the rounds that a film called KICK would go on floors soon and it would feature the ’never-paired-before’ couple of Salman and Deepika together. A remake of the namesake Telugu film, it would be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by A. R. Murugadoss of GHAJINI fame.

"As you mention it yourself, it is plain rumour. Reports of me working with Salman in KICK are untrue. In fact I haven’t been offered any such film", Deepika sets the record straight, hence diluting yet another piece of gossip that was making the rounds of the industry circles.

At his end, Sajid Nadiadwala is pretty gung ho about beginning work on KICK. After the release of HOUSEFULL and once ANJAANA ANJAANI wraps up, it is going to be KICK for the film maker. Though he doesn’t divulge the cast of the film, he does confirm that the film is certainly on.

Given the fact that KICK is said to be starring Salman Khan in the lead, how big can one expect the film to be, especially due to the news making the rounds that it is going to be an out and out action flick?

"First of all let me clarify that KICK is not an out and out action flick", Nadiadwala defuses a rumour here, "Someone just carried out an article stating so though it is nowhere closer to the fact. Secondly, it is too early to talk about the script. We are still in the process of working on it though we should be able to wrap up soon. We begin shooting in August/September."

Deepika Padukone to be playing a freedom fighter

Tattoo of your beloved’s name can be a proud thing to sport but when it comes in the way of your profession it would be quite embarrassing. Deepika Padukone who is currently shooting in Goafor Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se, found herself in a similar problem recently. Our lass known for her ‘Ranbir tattoo’ on her nape, was asked by her director to hide in middle of the shoot.

Touted as a period film, ‘Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se’ has a backdrop of pre-Independence era and the story is based on the Chittagong Uprising. Here our Deeps is featured in a different image, for she is said to be playing a freedom fighter. A scene involving a fight sequence required Deepika to tie her hair in a bun. The tattoo, which is usually covered by hair, was now clearly caught on camera by Ashu. The filmmaker is said to have sent Deepika to change her hairstyle and wear it differently, so it wouldn’t be seen.

Unit sources said that it was embarrassing for Deepika when Ashu sent her back to the dressing room. She was flustered initially but then, she came out of her vanity van with a different hairdo that covered the tattoo and finished the sequence.

There are no words to describe Deepika Padukones beauty-Farhan Akhtar

It’s difficult to separate the director-producer and actor in Farhan Akhtar , for he’s forever honing his acting skills, thinking of a marketing strategy to promote his films or of different angles to make his stars look larger than life. But today he’s in a different mood. He keeps aside the Don 2 script he’s been working on and gets talking about his hot costar from Kartik Calling Kartik, Deepika Padukone. “There are no words to describe her beauty, she’s extremely beautiful. Many will identify with me when I fall deeply in love with her in the film. In the hot quotient, she ranks among the top three actresses in Bollywood... need I say more,” he asks.

Farhan feels that the two share a wonderful chemistry but he wanted to be doubly sure so he held a focus screening where he invited people from different age groups to come and watch it. “I called my driver’s children and their friends, college students, housewives... and they felt the same,” he says. Once on the show that he was hosting, Deepika had turned up as his guest, standing tall, towering over him. “In reality, we are of the same height. I actually measured her with a measuring tape,” he laughs and adds, “she’s got long legs, her pose and posture make her look tall... unfortunately, I have neither.”

In all his films, Farhan has always given his actors a “hair-raising” experience, thanks to his wife, hairstylist Audhuna. Aamir had the spiked look in Dil Chahta Hai, Hrithik sported a crew cut in Lakshya while Preity Zinta went bob, Arjun Rampal had to grow his hair and Farhan himself was seen in a hairband in Rock On. And for KCK, Deepika had to chop off her hair. “I have a secret pact with Tirupathi Balaji, I cut their hair and send it there... but for Arjun in Rock On, we made hair extensions from the hair that we had cut during Dil Chahta Hai,” he laughs.

“My actors shouldn’t look the same in my film the way they did in some other film. The audience should be able to see the character than the celebrity in them,” says Farhan, who plays a lovable loser in KCK. “I can relate to the character because in the past, I have been one myself. Like the crush I had on this girl but never admitted for the fear of being rejected,” says Farhan, who will be playing a fullfledged romantic hero in the film.

Deepika Padukone take a short break holiday to the US

After continuously being on her toes for three years, Deepika Padukone has finally decided to take it easy. The actress will soon take a short break and head for a holiday to the US with her family to attend a cousin’s wedding. The Padukones are looking forward to spending time with their relatives.

Deepika’s close friend said, “Deepika has been working incessantly since the last three years. Also, she just broke up with Ranbir Kapoor, so the break is a welcome relief for her. She signed Om Shanti Om in 2006 and the back-to-back shooting schedules for other films left her with no personal time. Even beforeOm Shanti Om released, she was working on Chandni Chowk to China and Bachna Ae Haseeno. As soon as she completed these two films, she got busy with Love Aaj Kal. Recently, she completed shooting for Farhan’s Akhtar’s Karthik Calling Karthik and Sajid Khan’s Housefull. Then, there were the cameo appearances and the endorsements, which also kept her occupied. When the rest-deprived Deepika got an opportunity to spend time with family, she immediately grabbed it.”

“One of Deepika’s closest cousins is getting married and she was to leave for the US last Sunday but since she had to finish a shoot, she will be leaving after a couple of days and will spend at least ten days with her family in the US. Since there is a lot of speculation about her personal life due to her break-up with Ranbir, she wants to come back rejuvenated,” added the friend.

Deepika confirmed the news and said, “My brother is getting married. It is the first big wedding in the family and I am looking forward to it. I believe it is very important to make time for family, no matter how hectic one’s life is.”

Deepika again foolishly blames Katrina

The two reigning queens of Bollywood, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone are involved in a verbal spate of late, and if things are not sorted out soon, they might head for an ugly showdown.

As all are aware that Deepika is highly insecure of Katrina because of her growing dosti with her beau Ranbir, she is now assuming that Katz is spreading rumours of her break up with Ranbir.

So much so, that when Katz dropped by on the sets of Deepika’s film ’Karthik Calling Karthik’ with Farhan Akhtar on a day when she had a steamy intimate scene with her lead Farhan.

News of Deepika’s growing fondness for Farhan and their on screen chemistry began doing the rounds, for which Deepika again foolishly blames Katz.

Well, we can smell a rat and see how insecure the Padukone gal is getting and how hard she is trying to tie down Ranbir, that she is completely ignoring the fact that a winner like Katrina is too busy and dignified to get into such low talks and cheap thrills. Deepika choose to celebrate Diwali with her family

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor both are busy in their works but in Diwali they might not spent time together whereas Deepika Padukone chooses family. She reveals that she is not going to celebrate the festival with Ranbir Kapoor but will be heading to Bangalore to celebrate with family. When asked she said,” No. I try to celebrate most of the festivals with my family. I am looking forward to celebrate Diwali with my family.”

Deepika Padukone appreciated Ranbir Kapoor ’s work in ‘Wake Up Sid’. I saw the film when the premiere was held for the entire cast and crew.

I feel Ayan is an extremely talented director. I really liked the film and I feel that Ranbir Kapoor has done an amazing job. I loved the way both Konkona and Ranbir Kapoor did justice to their characters in the movie.

Deepika Padukone is also happy that her films are doing great business at the box office and looking forward to her next two releases, ‘Katrik Calling Kartik’ with Farhan Akhtar and ‘Houseful’ with Akshay Kumar. Deepika Padukone has also signed a Yash Raj flick opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh.
About her fitness she said,” Well, I really work out hard and I do yoga. Besides yoga, I am also into sports. I think playing sports is the best way to stay in shape.”
