Donning a pretty-in-pink dress by Max Azria (BCBG),Mallika Sherawat made her triumphant return to Los Angeles on Tuesday night in charitable fashion along with Oscar winner Marisa Tomei, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to support American Pulitzer Prize winning NY Times journalist Nicholas Kristof’s charity CARE at LA’s Pacific Design Centre.
Mallika said, “Nicholas Kristof is a world treasure. The work he’s done around the globe in support of women’s rights and those-in-need is an incredible inspiration to me.”
Mr. Kristof and Mallika were overheard discussing working together for one of his charitable associations in India, as well as the feature film production based on his new book, “Half the Sky”. Mallika was also seen bonding with Oscar-winning American actress Marisa Tomei, who, upon hearing of Mallika’s extended stay in Los Angeles, told the Indian star, “You’re going to do very well here.”

Malaika Arora Khan is one diva who is all for free goodies. It is said that Malaika gets a lot of gifts in the form of designer clothes, bags and shoes when ever she is out shopping. The model-turned-actress is used to walking into designer stores and picking up stuff she fancies, which is then promptly gifted to her.
But now, the lady better be careful. There is a nasty rumour doing the rounds that she has gotten so used to freebies that she has a tendency to pick up goodies and walk away without even attempting to pay the bill.

Now, add to the list the name of music legend Bob Dylan’s son Jesse Dylan, who is a filmmaker, photographer, ad director, and has put together a number of projects embracing social causes. Jesse has reportedly become so fond of Mallika on Twitter that he’s learnt to be putting together a project exclusively for her.
Mallika calls him her best Twitter pal.
“My best Twitter friend is probably @JesseBDylan, we DM (direct message) each other a lot. In fact, I think he actually decided to develop the project for me while "tweeting" each other!” Mallika is quoted as saying by examiner.com.
Mallika’s other good twitter buddy is a guy who has started a blog of her tweets.
“I guess my best "public" Twitter friend goes by the name of RagsTweets, he started a whole blog about my tweets and contests and all sorts of stuff, and he’s a really cool guy,” Mallika said.
Interestingly, Mallika has also made a new brother in America. He’s the guy who helped Mallika break into the Hollywood circuit.
Guess what? Mallika even tied him a rakhi on raksha bandhan.
