Ajay Devgan doesn’t seem to be very happy with his wife Kajol’s upcoming flick ‘we Are Family’.If sources are to be believed, the actor is openly singing paens about his wife’s talent. This is rather strange because Ajay and Kajol have been married for 11 years. And neither has gone gaga about each other in public, until now!
The source says, “Ever since the first interview for WAF appeared, Ajay felt that Kajol should have been positioned differently from Kareena.”
According to information available, it is said that Ajay feels Kajol (quite obviously) is in a different league as an actress as opposed to the younger Kareena. And so he feels that Karan should give Kajol a different kind of placement in the whole publicity campaign instead of making it seem like Kajol and Kareena are on par.”
When we asked Kajol if she was aware of her husband’s “anguish” and as usual she spoke her mind. “Listen I don’t know if Ajay is anguished or any such thing. If you say that he wants me to be more prominent than Bebo in the WAF campaign, I will understand. After all I’m his wife and he is bound to be biased towards me.” Kajol even joked that if this matter is true, then she would go home and advise her husband to take up the issue with her best friend Karan.
Ajay, in defence of his bias, said, “Kajol is the best actress Bollywood has. I will naturally look out for her interests in every way and in every campaign. But honestly, who am I to complain about how Karan should go about with the publicity of his film? Bebo is a friend. I’ve done Golmaal Returns and Omkaara with her.
I’m currently shooting with her for Golmaal 3. This is a very sensitive issue. I won’t be a hypocrite and say that I like Kajol and Kareena equally.”
Of course, when pushed to say who he would give his vote to, Ajay grinned sheepishly and said, “Kajol. She is terrific.

Kangana Ranaut and Ajay Devgan is hit on screen

After the success of Rajneeti, Ajay Devgn is overwhelmed with the response he has got for his role in Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbai even before the release of the film.

The actor says that he is very excited about Once Upon A Time… especially because Rajneeti was well received. “If this film gets the same response there’s nothing more an actor can for! Not every actor look for the number one position, our only aim is getting the appreciation of the audiences. At the end of the day it is our hard work which is being recognised and that’s all what we look forward to.”

On being asked about the reason behind his success in the industry so far, the actor says, “There is no set formula for success, but yes people have been talking about the film. I hope the audience enjoys it.”

The actor says that that for him every film is a learning process. “I am still learning. I will never say I am the best and that I know everything. For me being on the sets is like going to school or college everyday. I keep learning new things from my roles and the people around me. I learn little things everyday. You learn with your own good work and mistakes. You also learn from the mistakes of others. You keep on grasping things and don’t even realise when you are making use of them. The day you feel you can’t learn more that is the end for an actor,” he says.

The real challenge is to make people laugh-Ajay Devgn

Double entendres are often used in scripts to make people laugh, but actor Ajay Devgn says the makers of his forthcoming laugh-riot `Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?` have not used them.

"We have tried to make a clean and entertaining film. Not even one dialogue has a double meaning, so people from all age groups can enjoy the film," said Ajay, who was in the capital to promote the film.

"It is very easy to put double meanings in dialogues and make people laugh in comedies. The real challenge is to make people laugh through situations.

"The film is not just comedy but says a lot of things that you will like and that will touch your heart. Along with making you laugh, it will give a message, that`s the USP of the film," he added.

Set in Mumbai, director Ashwani Dhir`s film shows what happens when an unwanted guest (Paresh Rawal) arrives and disturbs the life of a happily married couple - Puneet (Ajay Devgn) and Munmun (Konkona Sen Sharma). Slated for a March 5 release, "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" is co-produced by Warner Bros. Pictures (India) Pvt. Ltd.

In the film, all the three main actors are National Award winners but Ajay says that wasn`t planned.

"Casting was not done keeping in mind that only National Award winners should be taken. It`s a co-incidence and I must say that it`s a good coincidence."

Talking about his on-screen wife, Konkona, with whom he has earlier acted in ‘Omkara’, Ajay told reporters: "When you work with great actors, your own work becomes better. It`s always a pleasure to work with a good actor like Konkona."

In the last few years, the 40-year-old had been a part of several successful laughathons like ‘Masti’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Sunday’ and ‘Golmaal Returns’, but says he has no plans to confine himself to one genre.

"It`s not that I want to stick to one kind of films. When I get a good script, I do it, whether it`s comedy or something else. If the character is good and is written well then I`m pretty comfortable doing any role. Apart from comedies, I am also doing all sorts of other roles," said Ajay who is going to complete two decades in Bollywood next year.

His other forthcoming releases include Prakash Jha`s much-talked about political drama ‘Rajneeti’, Milan Luthria`s crime thriller ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ and an action film directed by Rohit Shetty.

Ajay and Konkona Sen together to make a dream casting for a director

This will be a very different combination and a pair to watch out for. Ajay Devgn and Konkona Sen Sharma have never been cast together but they have the potential to make a dream casting for a director. Imagine Devgn’s smouldering looks and understated style of acting, and couple it with Konkona’s natural, spontaneous grace, and the effect could be something truly magical or not at all.

Since Devgn and Konkona have never been cast together, one will just have to wait and watch. Director Ashwini Dheer, who made his directorial debut with the comedy One Two Three will be casting the two in his next movie, which is called ’Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge’.

As the title indicates, the film is about guests who overstay their welcome. Devgn and Konkona play a newly married couple in the movie while Paresh Rawal plays the unwanted guest.

The film is expected to shot on a start to finish schedule beginning today and ending on December 10. The film is produced by Kumar Mangat and is being planned for a release next year.
